Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, Dog and Cat Repair stresses the importance of an annual and bi-annual physical examinations, depending on the pets age. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:
Medical Boarding: A new service offered now for our clients. Our technicians will take excellent care of your pets while you are away.
Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.
Surgical Services: Our surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures, including laser and Ellman electrosurgical surgery.
Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.
Internal medicine, Surgical, Ophthalmology, Orthodontic, Orthopedic, Dermatology and Neurology consults: We offer referrals to specialists who can aid us in the diagnosis of the more complicated cases.
Ultrasounds and Endoscopy are performed in-house, and we may also consult with specialists on an as needed basis.
Therapeutic Laser procedures: are done on site.
Radiology Services: Our on site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.
Electrocardiography Services: We provide ECG services on site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.
Dentistry: Our dental services include dental cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, extractions and minor oral surgery.
Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory provides for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
Permanent identification: We offer HOMEAGAIN microchip identification. After the implantation of the microchip we will register your pet with them. It is very important that your pet is registered with them. There is no point to micro-chipping your pet if you do not register him/her, as this is the best chance you have at getting your family member back if they are lost. Please keep in mind that if you move or change your phone numbers you will need to update your information with HOMEAGAIN as well.
Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heart worm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line Hills and Royal Canin prescription diets.
Individualized Flea and Tick Control Programs: We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas and or ticks in your house, in your yard and on your pet. This usually consists of treating the pet, home and yard once a month for 6 months in order to eradicate the parasites.
Dietary Counseling: We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.
Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression. We can also provide information on a behaviorist in your area.
Euthanasia: Euthanasia will be performed as a last resort, as long as there are no other treatment options available. Euthanasia will NOT be performed AS A CONVENIENCE TO THE OWNER!
Emergency and Critical Care: Our office is well equipped to handle emergency care. We do however refer our after hour emergencies and or transfers to VCA Emergency Center of Arizona phone# 480-898-0001, they are located at 1648 N Country Club DR, Mesa, AZ 85201.
